Welcome to The Sophie House
Salvation & Strength |

Encouragement
The Sophie House was built on a strong foundation of salvation
and strength, optimism, potential and perseverance, hope and healing, integrity and education and
encouragement. By focusing on these qualities, one day at a time, women and children can begin to heal from
some of the most difficult life challenges. Sophie is Greek for “wisdom.” Making wise decisions, with the
guidance from our Heavenly Father, a caring staff and a talented group of volunteers, women and children
begin to re-gain their self confidence and a positive outlook for the future.
"No matter how big
or small our budget, we can make a difference. As we reach out to those around us in Jesus' Name, we provide
something much more valuable than any earthly treasure. We share the gift of hope!"
–LeAnn Rice
Our New Website

The founder of Sophie House, Mrs. Kimberly Braine-Tillem
and a team of seven juniors and sophomores from the Deep Run Center for Information Technology have worked together to create this website. Juniors include Ali Conley, John Irwin, Peter Pak, and
Kristina Pham, while sophomores Hannah Good, Dean Remedios (not pictured), and Thomas White provided much help
in the area of information systems design and development. After many meetings and long hours of hard work,
creating The Sophie House content, perfecting navigation, crafting the architecture and designing the
look-and-feel for the site, our Deep Run team handed the project off to Centresa, for final production
and hosting. Centresa is proud to work with The Sophie House and other local organizations that are making a difference in our community.
